"High superheat (25°F, well above the 8–14°F TXV target) combined with low subcooling (4°F, below the 10–18°F target) points to an undercharge or a liquid-line restriction. Check the filter drier and metering device for a restriction first. If pressures are simply low with no restriction, find and repair the leak, then weigh in charge and re-verify superheat and subcooling against the manufacturer's charging chart."

"Size to the nameplate. The MCA of 24.6A sets the minimum conductor — 10 AWG copper (30A ampacity) satisfies it. The MOCP of 40A is the maximum overcurrent protection, so use a breaker no larger than 40A (a 40A is fine; never go above MOCP). Compressor equipment is an exception to normal wire/breaker rules because of inrush current — always follow MCA and MOCP on the data plate."
